Tellico
Pride Market & Deli
Tellico Plains, TN
(Convenience Store)

Cliffette and
Steve Sloan take pride in their operation, Tellico Pride Market
and Deli.
After 4-1/2
years at their Tellico Plains, Tennessee store, they look back with
satisfaction at their business and its high success selling and
promoting Broaster ChickenŽ. While they originally started with
one model 1800 Broaster pressure fryer, sales quickly grew to 4,000 pieces
of chicken per week, along with a tremendous amount of BroasterŽ
Potatoes. They recognized the need for an additional
Broaster pressure fryer, and with its installation, their chicken
sales went up to as much as 6,500 pieces of chicken and 1/3 to 3/4
ton of BroasterŽ Potatoes per week.
Cliffette attributes their success to the high quality of
BroasterŽ products and their dedication to
maintaining that top quality by following the Genuine BroasterŽ
Program.
While their
town has a population of only 700, they draw from a large rural
area as well as from tourists visiting the Cherokee National
Forest. The Sloan's advertise both locally and in a hunting and fishing
guide but feel that their best advertising is the
"word of mouth" advertising and repeat business that
serving quality BroasterŽ Foods ensures.
With the
addition of a V-4 rotisserie oven for cooking Bro-TisserieŽ
chicken, they have also become "their own
competition" by offering a new product to their customers.
