Freez
Restaurant
Scotland Neck, NC
(Casual Dining)

Nestled in a fork in the road in Scotland Neck, North Carolina, Freez
Restaurant has
been serving quality dine-in and take-out food with friendly, family-oriented
service for over 30 years.
Started in 1963 by Edgar and Evelyn
Braxton, "the Freez" specialized in drive-up burgers, fries, and
assorted ice cream desserts. As the years passed, Mr. and
Mrs. Braxton passed the "basket of secret recipes" to their children, G.W. Braxton and Beverly
Braxton Craft. Around 1976, G.W. added Genuine Broaster ChickenŽ to
the Freez's menu.
Though the Freez's slaw may be a secret
recipe, it's no secret that consistent, quality food brings in the
customers. G.W. says, "I know I'm the only one in
town that takes the time to prepare chicken carefully and
consistently. It's why the customers keep coming
back."
In fact, when a national chain restaurant
just a block away introduced chicken to their menu, G.W. was worried it would steal
away his chicken business. Well, despite the chain's
national recognition, The Freez prevailed over
the competition with the quality and flavor of Broaster
ChickenŽ.
The people of
Scotland Neck return to the Freez for lunch and dinner
knowing that they will always receive great service and quality
food.
