Egg Rolls
Using Broaster Pulled Chicken Recipes
The
best way to go about making egg rolls is to first go to your
local grocer and buy egg roll or spring roll wraps. You
can usually find them in the produce department in one of their
retail coolers. Once you have procured your egg roll
wraps, the instructions are on the back, usually with a nice
diagram on how to roll them.
Another
helpful hint is that these egg roll wraps can be frozen if you
only need to make a dozen or so.
Ingredients
Instructions
-
Lay
one egg roll wrap with the corners pointing in a
north/east/south/west orientation.
-
Using
a tablespoon, scoop pulled chicken and place it in the
middle of the wrap.
-
After
placing chicken in the wrap, fold corner of wrap closest to
you and fold over the pulled chicken. Then start the
rolling process.
-
As
you begin rolling the wrap, take the side corners and fold
them into the center and continue to roll. (Note: it's
important that as you roll, you continue to tuck in the
sides of the egg roll.
-
As
you roll towards the top corner, rub the upper corner with
the lightly beaten egg yolk, which will make the wrap stick
into a complete roll.
-
If
made fresh, cook in your Broaster pressure fryer at 360º F
for 2 to 2-1/2 minutes. If wraps have been stored in a
frozen state, cook at 360º F for approx. 5 minutes.
These egg rolls tend to cook better if they are rolled long
and thin vs. fat and short.
-
When
cooking cycle is complete, remove egg rolls from your
Broaster pressure fryer and rest on paper towels.
