Use
a fork to mash the shortening into the Broaster All-Purpose
Batter and sugar.

In
a separate cup, beat together egg and milk.

Mix
together the milk solution and All-Purpose Batter until it
forms into a nice dough ball.

After
the dough ball is formed, take out of bowl and knead the
dough for approximately 2 minutes or until ball becomes
elastic and smooth.

Roll
1/3 of the dough ball onto a floured surface until it is
about 1/8" thick.

With
a 4" circle cookie cutter, cut out dough circles.

Put
a teaspoon of pie filling in the middle of each dough
circle.

Place
egg wash on half of the circle and fold in half pinching the
sides together.

Pressure
fry at 360º F for 2 minutes if fresh, 3 minutes if frozen.

Put
in pan with paper towel to rest.
