01/28/2009: Broaster Company Announces Retirements, Promotions, and New Appointments

Beloit, WI, January 28, 2009 – The Broaster Company announced today recent retirements, promotions, and key appointments.

Frank Dowling, President of the Broaster Recipe Foods division; Gene Halley, Vice President of Operations for the firm; and Norm Kingston, Quality Control Technician in Broaster’s manufacturing facility, all recently retired after a combined 108 years of service with the firm!

Frank Dowling joined Broaster in 1993 as national accounts manager and soon after was promoted to director of sales. In this role he was responsible for starting and developing the Broaster Recipe Foods Division, a complete line of ready-to-cook frozen foods. In 1996 Dowling was named vice president of the Broaster Recipe Foods Division and then executive vice president of sales for the division in 1999. His most recent promotion, to president of the division, occurred in early 2003.

Gene Halley recently completed 45 years of service with Broaster. He joined the company in 1963 as a condiment worker and rose to become production manager, plant manager, and then vice president of operations in 1996.

Norm Kingston recently completed 48 years of service with Broaster. He joined the company in 1961 as a welder and had been quality control technician since 1973.

Derek Fellows, previously a business manager for General Motors Corporation, has joined The Broaster Company in the position of Operations Manager; Randy McKinney, a national sales manager for Broaster since joining the firm in 2003, has been promoted to Vice President of New Product and Program Development; and Bill Loeffelholz, export/government and special accounts sales manager for Broaster since 2006 and a Broaster team member since 2003, has been promoted to National Sales Manager. Michael Groeneveld has joined Broaster in the position of Export/Government and Special Accounts Sales Manager, after having held similar positions in the foodservice industry. Groeneveld has spent his entire business career in export sales and overseas business development.
